NEWS

June/July/Aug 2010

Back from our holidays and immediate band line-up changes. We would like to welcome our friends drummer Chris Fields and lead vocalist Robert Glendenning of Booga Cha Looga and Empty bed Blues band fame to the band.
We bedded the new lineup in at The Shiny Sheff on a hectic weekend which included Steve and Kate Franklin's wedding at Cubley Hall. Both gigs were great in their own way and plenty of good comments about the new sound.
A great time was had by all over the Bank Holiday weekend playing at the New Barrack Tavern and Harlequin. Don't think we would say this again but it WAS the best night we've ever had at The Harlequin.
We gained a number of new followers , although may lost a few with the change in line-up. However don't believe all you hear.

May 2010

May saw two great gigs at The Castle and The Rising Sun. Great audiences and some new songs to boot. We are now off on our early summer hols. so see you all on 26th June at The Shiny Sheff. A new venue for us and a nice pub needing a boost in drinkers to help the place along. Hope to see you all there.

April 2010

A hastily arranged gig at The Chantry at Woodseats turned out to be a reasonable evening. Woodseats used to have a thriving pub scene but seems to have been bled dry by Wetherspoons. Richard and Doreen who used to run The Office/The Moon at Upperthorpe are trying to make a go of this old pub and they said it was the best night they had so far.

March 2010

The Band took time out in Feb to work up some new songs and we aired 6 at the New Barrack Tavern on the 6th. There were two 30th birthday parties in and the place was rammed. Kev said it was the best night they had ever had and we managed to get away after 3 encores.
The Rising Sun by contrast was quieter but allowed us to play some more melodic material that we like to do.
The Harlequin was as crazy as ever and we gained a few converts on the way.
